AskFishka operates as a marketplace connecting pet owners in the Netherlands with independent dog bakery service providers. We collect personal data submitted through our contact forms in order to connect users with selected service providers. We do not process payments on this website. All personal data is handled in accordance with the GDPR and Dutch privacy regulations.

Cookies

This website uses cookies to ensure basic functionality. Essential cookies are always active. Non‑essential cookies (such as analytics) are only activated after user consent via the cookie banner. Users can change or withdraw their consent at any time.

Comments

If visitors leave comments on the website (if this feature is enabled), we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public in the context of your comment.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are stored indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve follow‑up comments.

If users create accounts (if enabled), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except the username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.

Data submitted through contact forms is retained for as long as necessary to provide the requested service and for administrative purposes.

Applications from Service Providers

When a service provider applies to join AskFishka, we collect:

  • Contact person
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • City
  • Website or social media link
  • Description of products and services

This information is used to evaluate the application and to create a provider listing on our website if accepted.
